THE CRC: BERNIE SANDERS ENDS BID

THE CRC: BERNIE SANDERS ENDS BID

THE CRC

The Bernie Sanders movement is officially over as the independent Senator from Vermont suspended his presidential campaign. Despite  early success, Sanders came up short in his second bid for the nomination.

Unlike 2016, there is not a great deal of controversy surrounding the contest. There clearly was some level of coordination to consolidate the moderates and slim the field.

The focus of the Sanders campaign was to normalize socialism into everyday American life. For decades, Sanders embraced radical ideals that impoverished millions and fostered violence and strife.

Sanders connected with the audiences many consider on the fringe of the Democratic Party. A growing fringe both in size and influence. People that operate solely on emotion combined with great naivety.

In politics and life, sequels rarely outperform originals. Too many copies. In 2020, Sanders was not an unique peddler of far far left messages, he just was one of many.

There great angst amongst Democrats when they realized the level of flaws in the frontrunner Joe Biden. Even more angst when Bernie Sanders enjoyed early primary victories.

They realized that settling for a candidate well past his prime is better than nominating a Communist. Especially one that is not even a member of your party.
